Highlights of Portugal Home Week 2023
On June 15th and 16th, ZAGAS launched another successful collection at Portugal Home Week. The Bedroom Collection was a surprise for our customers, who experienced a new line of products focused on comfort, simple lines, and functionality. On display were also some of the most beloved pieces from the Statera Collection, such as the mirror, side table, and small bookcase. Together, they created a harmonious, serene, and cohesive environment.
The event also featured the Home Summit, where the theme "Designing the Home of the Future" was discussed. The importance of implementing new technologies in both house construction and furniture was highlighted, as well as the need to adapt new homes to current needs. The common point among all five speakers was the importance of honoring the past and integrating all the experience and knowledge gained into future steps. Antony Cestra, an architect, designer, and advocate for holistic design, emphasized that "the home of the future should integrate the wisdom of the past."

THE ESSENCE OF TRANQUILITY
The new Bedroom Collection was represented by the Everest line, featuring the bed, nightstands, and dresser. The distinctive details of this collection were the main attraction at our Booth, highlighting the work of ZAGAS artisans. The LED touch lighting system with the switch installed beneath the wooden panel—a new technology still not widely used in furniture—also impressed our customers.
ZAGAS' 75th anniversary is an important milestone in our journey, and the new Bedroom Collection is a testament to our commitment to offering exceptional quality and timeless designs. Excellence is at the core of everything we do. Our artisans ensure that every detail is meticulously crafted to perfection. Using only the finest materials, the collection exemplifies our commitment to the exquisite quality that has led our path for 75 years. The exceptional durability of these furniture pieces guarantees that they will remain in your space for many years, withstanding the test of time.
ZAGAS' color palette was chosen with meticulous attention, with comfort and tranquility as primary criteria. The "brick orange" present in the Imperial Ceramics—one of our customers' favorites—was incorporated into details that enhanced the exhibition. The ceramic in the Statera Collection pieces captured the attention of our visitors. Nathalie Degardin, Editor in Chief of the French magazine Intramuros, also confessed that it was "one of her favorites."
At Portugal Home Week, we experienced two days of celebration of Portuguese design and craftsmanship. The furniture industry, so rich in the Paredes region, was represented by various brands. The event was organized by the Associação Portuguesa das Indústrias de Mobiliário e Afins (APIMA), in collaboration with Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal (AICEP).
