New Trends at Feria Hàbitat Valéncia

Feria Hàbitat Valéncia (FHV) marks the beginning of new trends in the furniture and interior design sector. Now, close to meeting its end, we list the best shapes, textures and designs from around the fair and roundup the events and conferences that go alongside FHV. As for ZAGAS don’t forget to visit our Booth on Pavilion 1, Level 3, C-65. Come along as we untangle some of the upcoming trends in the furniture industry.

CERAMICS

At ZAGAS we share a never-ending adoration for ceramics. They hold wonderful and intricate patters and are one of the most durable and functional materials. In our New Collection Fiore ceramic patterns travel in between the furniture doors and table tops. The collection brought with itself a new ceramic, the Calacatta Oro Gloss, a sophisticated and luxurious material, now arriving at ZAGAS collection.

DISTINCT DINING CHAIRS

The times of said “normal” design are long behind us, but, this year, the attention seems to be turning to dining chairs. Creative-looking and intricate designs are trending and dining rooms are acquiring a new aesthetic. At FHV find the Statera Dining Chair. A geometric, rounded design that will perfectly fit contemporary spaces and aesthetically elevate a room.

IMPERFECT MAXIMALISM

Perfectly imperfect spaces are one rising trend patent at Feria Hàbitat Valéncia. The blend of different materials and textures, different colors and patterns build spaces of interest and with complex design blends. The public looks to assemble spaces that feel comfortable, inviting and lived-in, abandoning the idea of an immaculate and untouchable space. This subtle-luxury atmosphere is well represented in ZAGAS booth through premium quality materials and construction as well as partnerships with brands that share those same values - Lameirinho and Flam&Luce

“CURVE” APPEAL

Sharp edges are discreetly disappearing for our cadre of choice. The public is searching for a softer atmosphere and shapes that are more intricate to the eye. The Fiore Collection is the epitome of curves furniture as the entire selection has a rather curvy construction. It is a shift from regular design and an investment in the contemporary, adapted to modern living and requests. Interior Designers link the choice of rounded furniture with biophilic design and the return to organic and natural shapes.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGNS

When we speak about biophilic design there is an innate connection with sustainability and the respect for natural materials. At Feria Hàbitat Valéncia there is an exposition ongoing entitled “Beyond the Plastic Wave”, assembled by Carmen Baselga, Interior Designer, Héctor Serrano, Designer, and the Founder of Andreau World, Ernesto Belloch. The introduction of such important subjects mirrors the need for the furniture industry to take measures into a more conscious and sustainable path. ZAGAS’ ensures its suppliers are in compliance with the PEFC – Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes – and the FSC – Forest Stewardship Council – and puts daily efforts into practice in order to continue a conscious and ever more sustainable production process.
